Upon Second Thought :: My ACTUAL Favorite Super Bowl Ad
February 6th, 2008
Soon after I posted my so-called “favorite” Super Bowl ad for 2008, I realized that I erred in my choice which, upon reflection, is quite silly seeing that it’s my subjective opinion that I screwed up … about myself. But I digress…here it is - my ACTUAL favorite from Doritos.

Remember the people of Chad.
February 4th, 2008
I read this on BBC and it breaks my heart to hear of these events happening. I was in this capital city of N’Djamena just a few short years ago and fell in love with the people. It appears that this recent rebellion has ties to the Sudan and the genocide in Darfur. I encourage all of you to pray for this region of the world. These reports are disturbing and the bloodshed must be ended.
BBC NEWS | World | Africa | Thousands flee fighting in Chad: “Thousands flee fighting in Chad French military vehicles are already in Chad Thousands of people are fleeing the Chad capital, N’Djamena, after two days of fierce fighting between government and rebel forces in the city.”
Blog Excerpt: “How To Finish a Project In 10 Minutes”
January 19th, 2008
If you are human like me, then procrastination is too often the bane of our existence. It’s so easy to put things off till this magical tomorrow-land that is something reserved for fairy tales with princesses and flying unicorns.
Here is an excerpt from a blog I read today. He talks about an easy way to make sure your projects GET DONE instead of continue to pile up and loom over your desk and mind.
The next time you run into this problem [procrastination], tell yourself you’re going to work on the project for 10 minutes. Anyone can spare 10 minutes from their day, right? I guarantee that if you stick with your project for 10 minutes, you’ll end up working on that project a lot longer - just make sure you don’t work too much longer!

Faithfulness.
January 14th, 2008
There’s a lot to be said for the times of our lives. Reasons. Answers. Ups. Downs. Victories and failures. The understood and the inexplicable.
Today I had a chance to put aside all the pressing concerns of the day and venture up and enjoy a day at the mountain. The solo trips with snowboard in tow have become some of my most-treasured moments of introspection and a refreshing taste of the awe that the Creator alone deserves.
“God is faithful.”
I say that a lot and can truthfully say as I sit here at my now-clean home office desk that it is still and will ever be true.
Yes - although my desk is clean - I still have a stack of items in my physical and digital inbox. Yes - life doesn’t always deal me the cards I had hoped for.
But God is faithful.
I see the now. He sees the now AND the then…in perfect clarity.

RSS Reader? You Should Be.
January 10th, 2008
If you are an internet user who likes to stay informed on various matters but don’t have or want to spend countless hours perusing the web for those little nuggets - then you must master the art of RSS feeds if you haven’t already.
What was once a niche resource is becoming more and more mainstream. Well, today a nice little announcement came out from one of the better RSS reader programs. I learned about it on…well, you guessed it - my RSS feed reader (I use the new Mac Mail on Leopard).
The announcement? The folks at Newsgator are now offering their award-winning RSS Feed readers (FeedDemon, NetNewsWire, etc.) for free. That’s right - you have one LESS excuse NOT to become a true RSS reading aficionado. Come on - all the cool kids are doing it.
